As TechCrunch points out (Opens in a new window), SoundCloud recently touted 100 million songs on its service, so it stands to reason that about 25 million songs are coming from well-known artists you might also find on Spotify and Apple Music-both of which offer 30 million tracks. SoundCloud made a name for itself as a platform where artists big (Opens in a new window) and small can upload their content-raw demos, remixes, and podcasts-so much of those 125 million songs are likely from them. SoundCloud said it currently has more than 125 million tracks in its Go catalog, though it's unclear how many of those tunes are from artists on major labels. On Go, you'll find music from artists signed to independent and major labels like Merlin, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group.
